Closet declutter checklist

Closets are emotional: every item comes with a memory or a plan to wear it someday. A timer keeps decisions moving. DeclutterDash splits the closet into seven focused tasks so you can do one category per sprint instead of emptying everything onto the bed.

Saved you some time? Leave a tip, entirely optional.

Try the one-year rule: if you have not worn it in a year, put it in the donate pile. Tap the donate tally each time and see the total climb.

    How a declutter sprint works

Choose a sprint length, fifteen minutes is the classic, and press Start sprint. Work on one small area only: a drawer, a shelf, a corner of the room. Pick up each item and decide straight away whether to keep it, donate it, throw it out, recycle it, sell it or put it away where it belongs, and tap the matching counter. When the timer chimes, stop, even if you are mid-drawer. DeclutterDash logs the sprint with the number of things that left the house.

Stopping on time matters. It keeps decluttering from becoming a dreaded marathon and makes it easy to start again tomorrow. Take the donate bag to the car right away so the items actually leave.

    Planning a whole home

Tick the zones you want to work on and choose how many sprints you can manage each day. DeclutterDash packs the tasks for those zones into sprints that fit your timer and spreads them across days, so you can see how long the whole job will take. Tick tasks off on screen or print the checklist. With every zone selected and fifteen minute sprints, the plan comes to 38 sprints, a little over eight hours of work, which at two sprints a day takes under three weeks.

    Private by design
